It can creep in without you even realized, or it can hit you over the head like a bag of bricks. It can be scary. It can be all consuming. In this hour long session, Chrissy will guide you in l earning about the risk factors and signs of Perinatal and Postpartum Anxiety. She’ll give you tips on developing coping skills and a plan to support yourself if you are struggling with anxiety in motherhood. You’l learn how to cultivate a different relationship with anxiety throughout your pregnancy and postpartum that will help you through all stages of life.

In this well-rounded session, postpartum doula and chef Rachael, will guide you in nourishing your postpartum body. We’ll discuss how to build your support bubble, thee importance of cocooning, and the role oxytocin plays in postpartum. You’ll leave having an understanding of how to support your healing and recovery along with how to recognize signs of postpartum mood disorders.

Pelvic Floor Support & Recovery for Postpartum

Led by Bija’s resident PT, Diane will teach you what exactly your pelvic floor is. You’ll learn why posture matters (especially when breastfeeding!) You’ll get an overview of diastasis recti and prolapses. Diane provides an easy to follow program to return to exercise and simple dos and don’ts for your pelvic floor recovery.

Led by Bija’s founder and certified lactation counselor, Misty, this is a deep dive session on all things lactation. You’ll learn things you can do prenatally to prepare for breastfeeding. Hear what to expect in the first hours and days. Learn all about breastmilk’s composition and how to support your supply. Misty walks you through how to get a deep latch, improve suck, recognize hunger cues and how to identify a tongue or lip tie. We’ll review pumping, feeding schedules and weaning. You’ll also learn how to identify breast ailments and how to treat them.

Led by Bija’s newborn care specialist, Evie will deep dive into all things newborn. You’ll get tips on preparing your nursery. She’ll give you questions to ask your pediatrician. Learn about post-birth procedures, your newborn’s appearance and circumcision/umbilical cord care. Evie will explain the stages of development and give you tips for comforting your baby. You’ll learn all the basic infant care tips along with emergency care.

Led by a certified sleep counselor, Evie, this session will teach you all there is on newborn sleep. You’ll learn about basic sleep education, REM and nonREM sleep, the signs of fatigue in a newborn, bedtime routines, and safe sleep habits.
Navigating Your Return to Work

Join Bija’s leadership and well-being coach, Kelly, as she shares her tips on how to prepare for your return to work - before the day arrives. She has worked with many coaching clients to do just this across various geographies & industries, and has recently navigated the return to work after having her first baby herself. You’ll hear her speak about how to think about your shifting values, and be intentional about honoring them (rather than setting dreaded boundaries.) She’ll discuss the common “should’s” working mothers face, and how to navigate them.
