Finding Clarity in Your Birth Plan & Care Team

This live session will leave you feeling clear on your desired birth preferences and who you need on your team to feel most supported. You’ll learn the difference between a hospital, birth center and home birth environment as well as the difference the in roles of an OB, midwife, midwife's assistant and a doula. You’ll hear how can doulas support a hospital birth and a midwife / home birth. Find out what we think the most important when thinking about birth preferences and what an oxytocic environment is and how you can create that in a hospital.

This session, led by Bija’s resident PT Diane, provides guidance on how to support your pelvic floor through pregnancy and into birth. You’ll see prenatal pelvic floor considerations for each trimester. Diane gives you activity recommendations for second and third trimesters. You’ll hear how to prepare your body and pelvic floor for labor and delivery as well as postpartum considerations and planning.
